Nord Lead 2X, Nord Stage and Voice
Initial live take with Vox and beats re-recorded

STORY

Caught this one on the way up through to consciousness after a deep sleep.
The refrain sat in that space just after a dream and just before full awareness. Hearing it, I chose to stay in that space long enough to roll the refrain on repeat and try grasp it.

Once I had caught it and understood the structure, I proceeded to surface into the world. Still groggy and holding onto the refrain, like holding a vapour, I rolled over and sang it into my phone. As I began to work on the piece, the rest of the sound appeared, rolling out all at once, giving the song full form.

concept

One song, at the start of each month, available for everyone or no one to listen to. The aim is not to follow a set path, or write according to rules, style, genre or ethos, for anyone or anything in particular. The music will just be a reflection of what is brewing at that point in time.
I will simply put my hands on the instrument/s and see what cosmic trembling’s dance out through my fingers each month.
